Artist's Message: This young man seemed incredibly focused and deep into his practice, as he sat in a dark basement room, lit only by one bulb. I tried to bring out or express his movement, creativity and artistry in his right hand. That is actually what originally caught my eye. I almost titled this piece, The Unsung Musician.

Artist's Message:
When I created this piece, I also wrote the following: And on the eighth day, a beautiful rainbow show proudly down over Earth...when all of a sudden a powerful lightning bolt ignited through the sky. So fierce was the bolt that it echoed a shock-wave through the rainbow causing it to surge back on itself and explode at the end -- not only inspiring each color to explore individually, but for new, never-existing-before colors to emerge.
Hand-Sculpted Painting / Mixed Media:

Artist's Message:
This is actually my first Hand-Sculpted Painting. I wanted to capture Jerry Garcia with more of a 3-D feel, so I decided to sculpt he and his guitar in baked clay. I had so much fun doing it, I've continued with my sculpted paintings.
I am, after all, eternally grateful for his music.
